APN – Al Hussein Youth City

Middle East Insurance Company (MEICO) proudly supported the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN) in a special tree-planting event on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Al Hussein Youth City in Amman, marking the beginning of their collaborative efforts.

This initiative is part of MEICO’s commitment to environmental corporate social responsibility, aligning with the Green Caravan program of APN, which aims to combat the impacts of climate change and preserve Jordan’s green legacy by restoring trees that Al Hussein Youth City lost
during past snowstorms.

On this occasion, Eng. Majed, Executive General Manager of MEICO, stated: “We are delighted to participate in this initiative, which reflects our dedication to a sustainable future and improving the social, economic and environmental well-being of the community. Our support
for environmental enhancements underscores our commitment to a sustainable future and leads to social and economic improvements in the community where we operate.”

In a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere, 20 MEICO employee volunteers planted 200 Jacaranda,Chinaberry, and Carob trees in the park, a popular spot for Jordanian runners and walkers.
These trees will also help reduce carbon dioxide emissions, adding significant environmental value to this central location in Amman.
