Amman – June, 2024: Middle East Insurance Company (MEICO) has proudly announced its gold sponsorship of the “Leave Your Mark” initiative, which was launched during an event organized by the Jordanian Environment Society (JES) in celebration of World Environment Day.

 The ceremony took place on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the National Library Hall, under the patronage of HE Dr. Atef Odibat, former Minister and Chairman of the Society’s Advisory and Guidance Committee, and was attended by Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ayasrah, Director General of the National Library, along with several representatives from supporting and sponsoring organizations.

Demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability, MEICO partnered with JES to support this national, sustainable environmental initiative. The initiative is aligned with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II to position Jordan a regional center for green development and to open extensive opportunities to invest in climate-focused initiatives.

The “Leave Your Mark” initiative aims to showcase Jordan’s leadership in sustainable development and promote the circular economy concept, which encompasses the production, consumption, use and recycling of plastic containers to create new, environmentally friendly products that adhere to global standards. It targets various segments of the local community, including the educational sector, government institutions, and private sector entities, through awareness campaigns that emphasize the importance of participation in achieving the initiative’s objectives.

During the ceremony, MEICO was honored by JES for its dedication to sponsoring and supporting the initiative, along with other supporting entities.
